TNG #5 - Exocomps

The Star Trek TNG Arc #4 has brought us a new building and new game feature: Exocomps. These intelligent robots come from the TNG episode S6E09 - "Quality of Life"

Build the exocomp facotry and activate consumables for powerful, temporary boosts

In STFC, the Exocomps are used to give players temporary buffs (stat boosts) that are earned by completing events or collecting resources daily. The buffs are in 3 categories, which alter stats for the player across the Galaxy, within their Station, or in general Combat.

TypeUsageTip
Galaxy Ships must dock before Buff activates Activate Buff, Launch ships from station, Buff will remain active until ship returns to station.
*This works well for mining.
Station Activate Buff before starting Research/Building,
(will not affect stuff in progress)
Save these Buffs for large upgrades and activate them before starting it.
Combat Activates at the start of combat Be sure to select the correct Buff for the type of ship you plan on using.

This chart shows all of the buffs or boosts a player gets from exocomps and the type in STFC

To earn these buffs, players must build the Exocomp Factory, and start collecting Axionic Chips. Axionic Servos are required to upgrade the Exocomp building, which improves the daily rewards, buff yield and number of Exocomps a player has available.

Below is the map showing how to gain Axionic Chips (Events, Daily Rewards, Away Missions), as well as what they are used for (redeem for Buffs and Axionic Servos).

Alliance Exocomps can also be acquired from players that are a high enough level and applies to all members of the alliance. Here are the Alliance Exocomp Buffs:

Chart showing Alliance Exocomps and how they affect players by their levels

Gathering Alliance Exocomps is difficult as the lowest level that can get them is LVL46, thru the 7 Day chest.

This chart shows how a player can earn an exocomp that is used on the entire alliance, that gives a buff or boost based on the players ops level in STFC.

TNG #3 - Away Teams

A few things to understand about Away Team Missions:

1. They do not use the standard speedups.

2. New Missions auto refresh (can be refreshed with 100 Refresh Tokens)

3. Mission slots are unlocked with research.

4. Refresh Tokens will update all mission slots currently inactive (Don't waste it)

5. Daily Goal of completing at least 1 mission has been added which rewards Away Team Speed Ups

This is what a player really need to understand how to use correctly. Selecting the correct officers to maximize mission rewards. Look at the "Key Stats" of the mission and pick officers that favor that stat for the mission. The more points for that stat, the higher the chances of success and the reward multiplier. The reward multiplier also affects the critical reward value.

Away Team Speedups and Trait XP are gained on a daily basis by completing an Away Team mission and collecting from the daily goal.

Next the mission requirement. Previously ran missions will allow a player to run the Rare and Epic missions for better rewards.

A new feature has been added to Away Teams called Traits

TNG #2 - Away Team Research Tree

This new content has added a new Research Tree, which expands the players ability to gain resources passively during the day while shielded. Research is needed to unlock these abilities, and new resources are also required.

This chart shows the Ops Level Requirements and what types of missions unlock when

TNG #1 - Shuttle Bay

The Next Generation content has arrived, and it brings a feature to use below deck officers in new ways.

The shuttle bay requires LVL 15 to unlock in the Station Research tree. Upgrade this building as quickly as you can to improve the cost efficiency of the new Away Team Research to access more missions.

TNG #4 - Meridian

The TNG content brought us the Meridian. This is basically a Horizon lookalike that is specialized in Isogen Mining, with rates similar to the D'Vor. The protected cargo is rather small, so it is an active mining ship.

This chart shows the full RSS required to tier up the Meridian ship in STFC

Once the ship is built, Iso-Emulsion can be refined to Iso-Resin. In addition, the special particles that are only available to alliances that have territories, can now be obtained. This unlocked more research for everybody.

4 new research nodes are also added to the Territory Research Tree, which requires Iso-Resin. Iso-Resin can be gathered from Away Team missions, however that will be going away once the arc is complete and everyone has the free ship (Per Scopely)

This chart shows the new Iso-Resin research added to the territory tree that the Meridian is used to complete in STFC. By refining Iso-Emulsion, Iso-Resin is produced to start this research.

Building the Meridian also unlocks a new section in the Territory Refinery, where players can refine Iso-Emulsion into Iso-Resin and special Particles that are needed for Territory Research

This chart shows the Iso-Emultion refinery as well as the special particles that are gained by having the Meridian. This refinery is linked to the Meridian tier, so leveling up the Meridian improves the refinery.

Mine and refine Isogen to get the Iso-Emulsion needed to level up the ship.
The ship is level locked using special components required for the Warp Drive.

Unlocks a 3rd refinery batch (4 chests) for T1, T2, & T3 Isogen. Similar to a Prime Refinery. But needs more Isogen for the additional batches.
Not as useful for players that do not have Territory and cannot mine 1*, 2* and 3* Isogen
Will accelerate the Iso-Emulsion generation for Research and Ship Upgrades.

Scopely also has a "Skin" refit for the Meridian that increases the refinery rates by giving additional refine chests, but it does increase the Isogen required. Considering how fast the Meridian mines, it seems acceptable. This may not be worth it for players that do not have access to all Isogen (2* & 3*).

This chart shows how Isogen is used within STFC to tier the Meridian and complete special research.
The Meridian significantly adds to a players ability to gather and use Isogen. The above is a diagram showing how Isogen is used.
