DS9 #3 - Armada Starbase

Now that we are collecting materials from the Cardasian Armadas, the alliance can build its own Starbase. This unlocks research for alliance members, based on the level of components of the Starbase.

To upgrade the Starbase, it will need to be located to a Plasma cloud so it can gather and process it into material. There are two types of material, Collisional Plasma (Red) and Magnetic Plasma (Green). Here are the locations of where to locate the Starbase for mining:

DS9 #2 - Cardasian Armada Crews

Per Scopely:
-Gaila was rescued from jail and the changes that were made to her from yesterday (9-7-2022) have been reversed. We appreciate the overwhelming feedback we received from the community on this.
-Rare and Epic Cardassian armadas have had their hostile ability/buff removed
-A full unlock of Major Kira Nerys has been added to the Elite BP!
-All shards were added to Milestone 20 across the Free and Elite tracks.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This means the Uncommon Armadas still have the Khan Ability which Gaila reduces the damage from, while the Rare/Epic fight more like regular armada targets.  Kira should also be available for free to assist over the course of the Deep Space Nine Arc to pair with O'Brian to hit the Cardasians as well.

The name of the game with hitting bigger (Uncommon) Cardasian Armada Targets is to reduce the Critical Damage as much as possible. It is said by many content creators that "Crew Matters", and it is especially important here.

The chart below shows how best to plan within an alliance to hit the targets to reduce the Critical Damage.

Scopely did adjust the Critical Chance Cap on these Armadas, so this setup will not produce a 0 Damage scenario, but this will still allow for bigger Uncommon targets to be taken down for more loot.

DS9 #1 - Cardasian Armadas

The new Cardasian armada targets yields materials that is redeemable in the Alliance Store, which leaders can use to build a station for the alliance. Eventually that will benefit the alliance.

These Armada targets are different, in that gain critical chances per round. By round 6, nearly all hits are critical against the alliance ships (see chart below). This makes them comparable to a regular Armada that is about 3-5 levels higher than what is showing on the Cardasian targets.

The way to get past these new targets is to reduce the Critical %, which there is no old crew that can do that. The new DS9 crew however is perfectly suited for this, with Kira as Captain. See DS9 #2 - Cardasian Crew

This chart shows how fast the Cardasian targets can get to every shot as a critical, due to a ship/station ability.

Eventually, research will require a high enough alliance reputation to start.
